What an opening night at Hadlock Field in Portland. Red Sox pitcher Drew Pomeranz made his rehab start. Tim Tebow played for the other team. And, a sellout crowd of 7,368.

Oh yeah, the Sea Dogs won that game, 4-2.

What's the encore?

Pomeranz pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs, four hits, three walks and four strikeouts. He threw 86 pitches and 53 of them were strikes.

Former #1 draft pick Trey Ball pitched 2.2 scoreless innings. Ball has been switched from a starter to a reliever in hopes of jump starting his climb to the majors.

Trevor Kelley picked up the save, including a strikeout of Tim Tebow to end the game.

Cole Sturgeon had a home run for the Dogs.

The former Heisman Trophy and NFL quarterback, Tebow, went 1-for-4 and played leftfield for the Rumble Ponies.

The Sea Dogs are now 2-5 while Binghamton is 3-4.

Game two of the series in Portland is this afternoon at 1pm.
