Police Search for Two Suspects in Woodstock Robbery

Woodstock Police have arrested three men and are looking for two others in a violent assault and robbery in downtown Woodstock.

According to Woodstock Deputy Chief John Foster, a man went to a residence on Upham Street on Sunday and after being invited inside, was attacked by several people with weapons.  The man sustained extensive injuries and was treated at the Upper River Valley Hospital.  Police say this was not a random attack, but the victim was targeted.

As a result of their investigation, police obtained a search warrant and searched the residence in the early morning hours Tuesday.  Woodstock Police, along with members of the RCMP and the Fredericton Police Force seized several items and collected evidence related to the alleged crime.

So far, three arrests have been made.  Police say 21-year-old Dylan Turner (a.k.a. Dylan Dixon) and 19-year-old Nicholas Ritchie, both of Woodstock, appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court on Tuesday.  They were remanded into custody until Friday at 9:30 a.m. for bail hearings.  Both are facing charges of robbery.  Also arrested was 21-year-old Jesse Logue of Woodstock. He is due to appear in court on Wednesday.

The Woodstock Police Force has also obtained arrest warrants for 27-year-old Joshua Tyler Carvell and 23-year-old Peter Noel Chisolm, (a.k.a. Peter Polchies). Both suspects remained at large Wednesday, according to Deputy Chief Foster.
