When it's looked back upon, 2016 will be remembered as a year that most people wish could have come with a redo button. Between all the deaths, dire social issues and Trump winning the presidency, it was a rough one. But now that it's all but over, we must look to the future. Pharrell recently offered some words of wisdom as to how we can all make the world a better place in 2017.

Taking to Instagram, Skateboard P spelled out his wish for humanity in the upcoming year. "I condemn hate speech of any kind," his message starts. "There is no room in this world for any kind of prejudice. My greatest hope is for inclusion and love for all humanity in 2017 and beyond."

P's positive outlook is always steadfast. Following Trump's presidential win, he offered some glass half full type words of encouragement on the outlook for the next four years saying, “I think women are gonna recognize, they really just wanna say, ‘You know what? We don’t like the way our species is behaving on this planet. So that’s it, no more babies.’ I think now’s the time when women recognize that power.”

He added, “I think that minorities are gonna come together in a way that we’ve never seen before cause they’re gonna realize there’s strength in numbers. And I think that art – music, design, fashion – is going to be incredible. Like I think that everyone’s given a whole new load of inspiration.”

We sure hope he's right.
