Pedestrian Killed in Crash in Saint-Antoine, N.B.

New Brunswick RCMP say a 58-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Saint-Antoine, north on Moncton.

The collision happened shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, according to Cpl. Chantal Soucy of the Bouctouche Detachment.  A man and a woman were walking southbound on Yvon Street, when the man was hit by a vehicle from behind.

The man, from Notre-Dame, New Brunswick died from his injuries at the scene. The woman was pushed out of the way and was not physically injured, police say.

The victim’s name has not been released. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
