The New England Patriots have begun preparations for the 2016 season as the team opened training camp on Wednesday.

Wednesday was a day of conditioning for the team as they get ready for regular workouts and game preparations on Thursday.  New England will be preparing Jimmy Garoppolo to play the first four games of the season as Tom Brady serves his suspension for his involvement of “deflategate” in January 2015.

Head Coach Bill Belichick met the media for the first time and, as expected, did not want to directly address Brady outside of general comments on the QB.

The Patriots will continue their workouts this week and will get their preseason schedule underway with a game against the New Orleans Saints on August 11th.
