The New England Patriots have traded Super Bowl winning center Bryan Stork from the team on Wednesday morning to Washington.  Stork played in 25 games and made 21 starts for the Pats in his two seasons in the NFL.

Stork had missed the beginning of the 2016 season dealing with concussions, but reclaimed his starting job from David Andrews afterwards.  He was the starting center for the Patriots' Super Bowl 49 winning squad and also won a NCAA Championship with Florida State the year prior.  He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Stork was recently thrown out of Patriots practice for fighting with Chicago Bears linebacker John Timu in joint practices.  Andrews is expected to be the starter at center for New England.

The Pats released wide receiver Nate Washington Wednesday, who was viewed as a long shot to make the roster.
