The owner of the World Champion New England Patriots has responded to President Trump's controversial statements on Twitter.

This week, the President has made headlines for his almost daily tweet storms surrounding players in the NFL using their First Amendment rights to kneel during the playing of the National Anthem before games. Trump has called for teams to fire players who refuse to stand for the anthem, and in predictable Trump style, insulted the entire league as suffering from "low attendance" and "low ratings." The President also insinuated that by allowing players to freely express themselves, the entire league is not "backing the United States."

The president then wondered what would happen if NFL fans stopped attending games because of this free exercise of first amendment rights.

The Commissioner of the NFL also responded to the controversial remarks.
