The Boston Bruins will be without their leading goal scorer for at least two upcoming games.

David Pastrnak was suspended two games by the league for his hit on New York Ranger Dan Giardi this past Wednesday.

The league noted that while the hit wasn't illegal, the position that Giardi was in during the play made it dangerous to the New York ice hockey player.  The NHL noted that the fact that Pastrnak hadn't been suspended before was one of the reasons for only levying a two-game suspension instead of heavier punishment.

Pastrnak leads the Bs with five goals and is second on the team with eight points.
