Noah Galvin Apologizes for Critique of Gay Hollywood Amid Colton Haynes Call-Out

Real O'Neals star Noah Galvin has apologized for some of his inflammatory remarks about Hollywood's gay community after Colton Haynes — whom Galvin flagrantly criticized in a Vulture interview — called Galvin out for being callous.

In a June 9 interview with New York Magazine's entertainment section, Galvin criticized Haynes for a sort of ambiguous May 5 Entertainment Weekly interview in which Haynes confirmed he was gay, but never explicitly said the words. Galvin called the move "pussy bulls---."

"That's not coming out," Galvin said. "That's like, enough people assume that I sleep with men, so I'm just going to slightly confirm the fact that I've sucked a dick or two. That's not doing anything for the little gays but giving them more masturbation material."

Haynes, a fan of Galvin's Real O'Neals performance, later shared his disappointment with the Vulture interview, and criticized Galvin in an Instagram post for being overly judgmental.

"I've never met this kid, so for him to judge me without even meeting and having no idea the struggles I've been through...is absolutely uncalled for and quite frankly embarrassing on his part," Haynes wrote.

Galvin, who also criticized straight actor Eric Stonestreet's flamboyant portrayal of a gay Modern Family character, eventually apologized for his interview's more critical sections.

"My only intention was to try and empower and promote honesty, but I fully understand that comments I made were brazen and hurtful," Galvin tweeted.
