Police and emergency crews responded to a school bus accident Tuesday morning on the Beardsley Road in Woodstock.

Woodstock Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson says a half-ton truck hauling an equipment trailer collided with a school bus near the entrance to Murray's Irving just before 8 a.m. He said there were no injuries and the children were in good spirits.

RCMP, Woodstock Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick were all on the scene.

Crews worked quickly to absorb a small fluid leak. There was significant front end damage to the pickup truck and it had to be towed from the scene. Damage to the school bus was primarily to the right front bumper.

The students were transferred to another bus to take them to school.
