Nick Cannon Drops ‘Wildstyle Vol. 1′ Mixtape for the New Season of ‘Wild N Out’ [STREAM]

If you’re looking for an early start to the weekend, MTV has you covered with Throwdown Thursdays lineup. Hip-hop and hijinks go hand-in-hand with Wild N Out, Kingin with Tyga, and Joking Off holding down the nightly lineup; and with Wild N Out returning to MTV for it’s eighth season, host and creator Nick Cannon is celebrating with a brand new mixtape dropping today (Aug 2).

Cannon has always been a multi-faceted entertainer; capable of bringing various worlds together—like music and comedy—in a way that fits his persona. And this mixtape is a great mashup of all of those various interests. Wildstyle Vol. 1 is hosted by Cannon and boasts an all-star lineup of rappers; including Future, Too $hort, Jeremih, Migos and OG Maco. It also includes unreleased verses from Wild N Out stars DC Young Fly, Hitman Holla, Conceited, Timothy DeLaGhetto and Emmanuel Hudson.

The mixtape was recorded while Cannon and Co. were on the road filming MTV2's Wild N On Tour, and Wildstyle Vol. 1 will be available as a free stream on Datpiff starting August 2. Anticipation is high for the new season of Wild N Out and a new mixtape featuring some of the best in the business is a great way to announce the show’s return. And the full Thursday lineup, with Tyga and Joking Off host DeRay Davis adding to the insanity, always has the feeling of a house party overrun with screwball antics, practical jokes and, thankfully, cameras. It’s been a heavy summer, folks—we all could use the laughter.

Catch MTV’s Throwdown Thursdays and the season premiere of Wild N Out on August 4 at 10/9c, followed by the season premieres of Joking Off and Kingin With Tyga on MTV and the MTV App.
