Once again, gas prices around New England have taken a little tumble in the last week.

According to the daily survey by GasBuddy.com, retail gasoline prices here in the Pine Tree State fell 5.3 cents to an average of $2.55 a gallon. In Presque Isle, prices at the pump slid down to $2.71 a gallon, but Tuesday morning, had risen up to $2.74 a gallon.

Prices in Maine on Sunday were 22.9 cents a gallon higher than they were a year ago at this time.

New Hampshire pump prices went down by 3.3 cents in the last week to $2.50 a gallon.

Elsewhere around the country, the national average fell by 5.4 cents a gallon to $2.51 a gallon.
