A 31-year-old Saint-François-de-Madawaska man has been sentenced to serve time in a federal penitentiary after pleading guilty earlier this year to drug related offences.

Ken Bolduc was sentenced to two years plus a day when he appeared in Edmundston Provincial Court on May 9, 2018. He was fined $7100, is prohibited from possessing a firearm for life and must submit a DNA sample to court.He pleaded guilty in March 2018, to three counts of trafficking methamphetamine.

He was arrested in August of 2016, after an eight-month investigation into drug trafficking by the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Section in Saint-Léonard with assistance from the West District RCMP and Edmundston Police Force.
