Just a few days after appearing alongside Alicia Keys to perform "One Love" in Times Square, Nas, along with Erykah Badu, pays a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! to deliver a chilling rendition of their song "This Bitter Land," which was featured on The Land soundtrack. The track dropped back in July,a moving ode of sorrow and struggle, with the above performance showing both artists stationary throughout, Nas at one point reaching for dollar bills to emphasize the line, "Stay fly, getting paper/With some dead white people faces in the circle of spaces around the green."

Watch the performance above, while below, Nas waxes Matthew Perry in a game of "Name That Famous Celebrity," correctly identifying Clint Eastwood, Chris Rock and Pharrell with only the vaguest of clues. He also talks about why he's been holding off on dropping a new album, saying, "I gotta live life. I gotta experience things. Sometimes music can shift society, man. Not even talking about me, but we are making some music out there that the world can hear now. When I first started out, I didn't know this thing would be so global. Things are changing, music is changing."

The Land premiered on July 29, and follows young skaters in Cleveland with dreams of the big time. It is executive produced by Nas and stars Badu as well as Michael K. Williams and Machine Gun Kelly. In addition to the Nas and Badu collab, The Land soundtrack, which was released on the same day as the film, features music from Pusha T, French Montana, Dave East and more.
