As it did a great many others, the tragic passing of actor Anton Yelchin, gave significant pause to a series adaptation of Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes. The role was since recast, while AT&T series now officially releases a full cast list before the fall 2017 premiere. There’s Holland Taylor, Mary-Louise Parker, Brendan Gleeson and plenty more.

Where previously Penny Dreadful star Harry Treadaway was announced for the title Mr. Mercedes role of Brady Hartsfield, AT&T’s Audience Network now confirms that all ten hour-long episodes will debut later this year. The David E. Kelley series also stars Brendan Gleeson as Detective Bill Hodges, with a full cast outlined below:

Leading the “Mr. Mercedes” cast are Brendan Gleeson (“Harry Potter”) as Detective Bill Hodges, Harry Treadaway (“Penny Dreadful”) as Brady Hartsfield, Kelly Lynch (“Magic City”) as Deborah Hartsfield, Jharrel Jerome (“Moonlight”) as Jerome Robinson, Scott Lawrence (“Avatar”) as Detective Peter Dixon, Robert Stanton (“Mercury Rising”) as Anthony “Robi” Frobisher, Breeda Wool (“Unreal”) as Lou Linklatter, Justine Lupe (“Francis Ha”) as Holly Gibney, and Ann Cusack (“Nightcrawler”) as Olivia Trelawney, with Mary Louise-Parker (“Weeds”) as Janey Patterson, and Holland Taylor (“The Truman Show”) as Ida Silver.

Kelley will act as showrunner, with LOST and Game of Thrones helmer Jack Bender directing. For those unfamiliar with Stephen King’s 2014 novel, here’s a synopsis:

“Mr. Mercedes” follows a demented killer Brady Hartsfield (Treadaway) who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges (Gleeson) with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.

The series will set a more concrete premiere later this year for DirecTV, AT&T U-verse, and DirecTV NOW, so stay tuned.
