Motorist Escapes Car Fire on Turnpike
A man heading home had fate smiling upon him Sunday evening.
State Police say a Lewiston man was not injured when his car caught fire along the Maine Turnpike Sunday night. Trooper Tyler Plourde said 46 year old Reshid Tahir Shankol was on his way home from work when his car’s warning lights came on. He pulled into the breakdown lane at mile 80 in Lewiston and the car burst into flames. Lewiston Fire Department put the fire out.
