Gas prices are still dropping across New England.

The price of gas has dropped 4 cents a gallon in both Maine and Vermont over the last week. That according to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com. Here in the Pine Tree State, gas fell to an average $2.29 a gallon. Prices at the pump in Presque Isle Monday morning stood at $2.46 a gallon at most stations.

New Hampshire saw a decrease of 2.7 cents a gallon to an average $2.38. And Vermont, even though its price drop was the same as Maine's, the average price per gallon was 20 cents higher than Maine's at $2.49.

The average price of gas across the country dropped 6.6 cents from last week to $2.25 a gallon. That's 21.3 cents a gallon less than a month ago and 23,8 cents cheaper than where it was last year at this time.
