A 39-year-old Moncton man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery earlier this week at a convenience store on Cedar Street in Moncton.

Police say a man armed with a weapon entered the Cedar Convenience and demanded money at around 9:30 Monday night. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

On Wednesday, the Codiac Regional RCMP arrested a man in connection with the robbery, according to Cpl. Marco Léger. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on Thursday to face charges.

Police continue to seek public information about the robbery. Anyone with information, or who may have been in the Cedar Street area at the time is asked to contact the Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
