Moncada Comes To Portland [VIDEO]

Red Sox #1 prospect Yoan Moncada is coming to Hadlock Field in Portland. The 21-year-old Cuban second baseman has been promoted from Single-A Salem to the Double-A Seadogs and should be in Portland for the start of a six game homestand tomorrow night.

In 61 games for Salem, Moncada hit .307, 25 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 36 stolen bases.

The Red Sox have over $60-million-dollars tied up in this 21-year-old kid. A $31.5 signing bonus and a $31.5-million-dollar MLB tax for exceeding the bonus pool for international signings.

The Seadogs host Harrisburg for a three game series starting tomorrow night.
