There's a good chance that the divorce between Mary J. Blige and her estranged husband Kendu Isaacs could get messy. Why? Because the music executive is now looking for spousal support.

According to TMZ, he and his lawyer just responded to his ex's divorce petition and in it, Blige said she doesn't want Issacs to receive alimony at all. At one time, Isaacs was the R&B star's manager, so there's a good chance he wants future payments for filling that role.

News of the couple going their separate ways first surfaced in July.

"Ms. Blige is saddened to say, it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying some things don't work how we hoped they would, but there is a divine plan and a reason for everything," a rep for Blige said in a statement.

Then a few weeks later, Isaacs commented on the split after someone asked him about it on Instagram. "What did you do to Mary J," one concerned fan wrote. "Married her, loved her, helped her and try to grow with her," he answered.

From here, there's no telling when the two will be able to wrap up their divorce, since there's obviously plenty still to work out.

Reportedly, the former couple still can't agree on when they actually separated, because Kendu said they split on July 25, and Blige said the date has to be determined later.
