Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash in Sussex Corner
Police say a 66-year-old man died and a passenger was taken to the hospital following a rollover crash late Tuesday night in Sussex Corner, New Brunswick.
Southeast District RCMP responded to the accident on Highway 1 shortly after 10 p.m., according to Sgt Jim MacPherson.
The driver of the vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Indian Mountain, N.B., died at the scene due to his injuries. The passenger was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
It is believed the crash occurred when the car, travelling eastbound on Highway 1 slid into the median and rolled several times, MacPherson said.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
