RCMP say 20-year-old Jessica Ann Miller of Apohaqui was reported missing to police on Sunday.  She had not been seen since Thursday of last week.

On Monday afternoon, Jessica Miller’s vehicle was discovered in Saint John. A 20-year-old man from Hampton was taken into police custody to be questioned about her disappearance.

Police found Miller's body at around 8 p.m. Monday in a wooded area just off Highway 1 near Prince of Wales, N.B., west of Saint John, according to Cst. Jullie Rogers-Marsh.

Jesse Edwards Reynolds appeared in court in Saint John on Tuesday and was charged with causing indignity to a dead body. He’s been remanded into custody until his next court appearance on August 4.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit along with Southeast District and West District RCMP are continuing to investigate.
