UMF’s Clifford Finishes 4th NBA Coach Of Year
While most of the attention went to NBA coach Steve Kerr for winning Coach of the Year, Maine's Steve Clifford finished 4th in the voting. His Charlotte Hornets are in a first round playoff battle with Miami.
Celtics coach Brad Stevens finished 6th in the voting from a panel 130 sports writers and broadcasters from around the league.
Clifford is in his fourth season as Hornets head coach. His coaching career started in 1983 as boys basketball coach at Woodland High School after playing for UMaine Farmington in college.
