Mainers in the music industry were hit hard yesterday with the passing of a living legend. Aretha Franklin, more than deserving of her title "The Queen of Soul," died at 76.

From "The Captain" on the WBLM morning show, to local record shop owners, and even Bob Ludwig, a multi-Grammy winning mastering engineer and legend in his own right, everyone felt the loss instantly.
