Maine Woman Killed Near Dysart’s In Holden
A two-vehicle crash near Dysart's Travel Stop on Route 1A near the Interstate 395 connector took the life of a 68-year-old woman in Holden Thursday afternoon.
Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley says the victim was Cindy Puiia of Holden. The crash happened about 11:20 a.m. Three people were in the other vehicle.
Q106.5 reports the accident led to the closure of Route 1A near the Brewer-Holden town line. At about 11:30 a.m., a dispatcher at the Penobscot Regional Communications Center said the road was closed in both directions. The dispatcher said CPR was being performed on one of the victims.
Chief Greeley said the accident is not related to Thursday's night's major storm as roads were clear and the snow had started. The fatal crash is under investigation.
