Incident Type: BURGLARY/Robbery Date: 9/25/2017 Town: New Sweden Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque and Tr. Kilcollins responded to an address in New Sweden where a man was attacked and had some of his property stolen. The victim was arrested for an unrelated incident and two people (one man and one woman) assisted on helping him make bail. During this incident the couple went to the victim’s house demanding the money for his bail ($500) and when the victim could not give them the money they attacked him inside his home and stole his cellular phone. The pair made several threats to the victim and were arrested by Tr. Levesque for robbery, burglary, and other charges.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 9/26/2017 Town: Presque Isle Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins assisted Presque Isle PD with arresting a male in the parking lot of Marden’s. The PD was dealing with the uncooperative subject when Tr. Kilcollins heard the radio traffic and responded to assist. The man was taken into custody by the PD; no one was injured during this incident.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 9/28/2017 Town: Caribou Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque was in Caribou and assisted Caribou PD with a subject resisting arrest and being combative. Tr. Levesque helped get the man under control and arrested him for the PD. No one was injured during the arrest.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 9/29/2017 Town: St. John Trooper: Tr. Curtin Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin cited a local man for operating after suspension after a motorcycle crash in St. John. The male subject was traveling on Route 161 in St. John when he struck a pothole causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and crash. Ranger Lance Martin came across the crash and reported the incident.

Incident Type: VIOLATION OF BAIL Date: 9/30/2017 Town: Stockholm Trooper: Tr. Curtin Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin arrested a Stockholm woman on Sunday for violating conditions of release. The intoxicated woman called 911 to report that she thought her boyfriend was going to call 911 to report her being intoxicated while being out on bail and being prohibited from consuming alcohol. The boyfriend never did call 911. The intoxicated woman was not cooperative and was taken to jail.

Incident Type: DISORDERLY CONDUCT Date: 9/30/2017 Town: Westfield Trooper: Cpl. Michaud Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud responded to a Westfield mobile home after a resident reported an altercation between other women who were at the home. Cpl. Michaud learned that there were 5 women at the home with one of them being extremely intoxicated. The intoxicated woman became belligerent and out of control. Other women at the home restrained her to stop her from damaging property at the home, and causing more issues. While Cpl. Michaud was there, the intoxicated woman passed out and caused no further issues. The women were attempting to make arrangements to live together, but after the incident those arrangements were cancelled.

Incident Type: ACCIDENT Date: 10/01/2017 Town: New Sweden Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Sgt. Clark, Tr. Levesque, and Tr. Kilcollins responded to a crash on State Route 161. Warden Ed Christie, Maine Warden Service, reported the crash and was first on scene. The male driver was driving south when he lost control of the vehicle, went off the roadway, crashed into the ditch, and was possibly ejected from the vehicle. The man was transported to the emergency room at Cary Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries and the crash is still under investigation by Tr. Levesque.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 10/01/2017 Town: Presque Isle Trooper: Cpl. Michaud Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud was in Presque Isle when he noticed a male subject who had pulled over onto the shoulder of the road and was urinating alongside his car. When Cpl. Michaud went past him, the motorist got in his car and drove away. Cpl. Michaud pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the operator about his behavior. A license check revealed that the operator had an expired license, which he was cited for. A check on his passenger, who was the man’s son, revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The man’s son was arrested and taken to jail on his warrant. The operator stated he had learned his lesson and next time would find a bathroom.
