Incident Type: Burglary Date: 5/22/2017 Town: Smyrna Trooper: Tr. Saucier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Saucier responded to Smyrna for a report from a female that her ex-boyfriend kicked in her basement door and took some property. As a result of the investigation Tr. Saucier arrested a 36-year-old Houlton man and charged him with burglary and criminal mischief.

Incident Type: Warrant Date: 5/24/2017 Town: Saint Agatha Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier located and arrested a 36-year-old Saint Agatha man that had an active no bail arrest warrant. The man had several charges including drug trafficking, aggravated trafficking, possession of scheduled drugs, and criminal forfeiture of property. The man was arrested without incident and transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: Burglary Date: 5/24/2017 Town: Ludlow Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins is investigating a burglary in Ludlow. A man broke into a camp and vandalized the property. The owner does not believe there is anything missing at this time. The property has a surveillance camera and Tr. Kilcollins is looking for leads. He has utilized the State Police Facebook page hoping the public can help him identify the man in the picture.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 5/24/2017 Town: New Sweden Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque stopped a 44-year-old male for speeding. During the stop Tr. Levesque discovered the man had a suspended driver’s license. The man has a lengthy history of 29 traffic convictions and 13 license suspensions. The man was issued a criminal summons for OAS and his passenger, who had a valid driver’s license, drove the truck.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 5/24/2017 Town: Ludlow Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Troopers Bell and Adams responded to an abandoned house for the report of people walking around inside with flashlights. Upon arrival the owner was found to be onsite with a potential renter. Flashlights were used because the electricity was off. While talking to the male renter, Tr. Bell discovered the male had a suspended driver’s license. The male admitted to driving his truck to the house. The male was summonsed for operating after suspension.

Incident Type: False Attachment Date: 5/24/2017 Town: Ashland Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was monitoring traffic on Main St in Ashland when he ran a license plate of a vehicle that had gone by. Records showed that the license plate was registered to a different vehicle than that of which was being driven. The male operating the vehicle was summonsed for false attachment of registration plates.

Incident Type: OAS/False Attachment Date: 5/25/2017 Town: Westfield Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was monitoring traffic on Rt. 1 in Westfield when he ran the license plate of a vehicle that had gone by. Records showed the operator of that vehicle was suspended as well as the license plate being registered to a different vehicle than that of which was being driven. The male was stopped and summonsed for OAS as well as false attachment of registration plates.

Incident Type: School Visit Date: 5/25/2017 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins spoke with members of the law enforcement class at Houlton High School. The students interviewed Tr. Kilcollins about various hot topics in law enforcement today, life as a Trooper, hiring and selection process, Academy life, and other topics that included how he likes his coffee and his favorite donut. The Jobs for Maine Graduate Coordinator, Dee Butler, said the students were very appreciative of Tr. Kilcollins taking time to speak with them.

Incident Type: OUI/HO Date: 5/26/2017 Town: Frenchville Trooper: Cpl. Hafford Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Hafford was dispatched to Frenchville for several reports of a male driving intoxicated. Several area stores had called to report that this male was attempting to buy alcohol and he was intoxicated. Wdn. Fitzpatrick located and stopped the male approximately 100 feet from his house. Cpl. Hafford arrived and arrested the male for OUI and H/O then transported him to Houlton jail. This is the 4th time year the male has been arrested for OUI this year.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 5/27/2017 Town: Sherman Trooper: Tr. Adams Brief Synopsis: Tr. Adams stopped a vehicle at mile marker 263 northbound for speeding and discovered that the operator was suspended and on bail. The operator was issued a criminal summons for OAS. The passenger sitting in the front seat of the vehicle had a valid license and drove the vehicle.

Incident Type: VCR Date: 5/27/2017 Town: Westfield Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was monitoring traffic on Rt. 1 in Westfield when he ran the license plate of a vehicle that had gone by. Records showed that the operator of the vehicle had an expired license greater than 90 days. A passenger in the vehicle was identified and was on bail for a drug possession charge. Tr. Pescitelli searched and tested the male. The male failed the test and was charged with Violating Conditional Release and the operator was charged with operating with an expired license.

Incident Type: Camp Burglary Date: 5/27/2017 Town: Linneus Trooper: Tr. Sylvia Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia responded to Linneus for a report of a camp burglary. The owner reported two bear rugs were taken since he was last there two weeks prior. The case remains under investigation.

Incident Type: Minors drinking Date: 5/28/2017 Town: Frenchville Trooper: Tr. Curtin Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin received a report of a party with underage drinking and while working the area, he had occasion to conduct a traffic stop in Frenchville. As a result of the stop the 19-year-old operator was summonsed for allowing passenger to have an open container and another minor was charged with illegal possession.

Incident Type: Theft Date: 5/28/2017 Town: Patten Trooper: Tr. Saucier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Saucier and PSO Deputy Pete Stone arrested a 59-year-old Patten man reference and assist to Houlton PD on a stolen cell phone investigation. The man agreed to meet and sell the cell phone to Deputy Stone and once the transaction took place Tr. Saucier arrived and arrested the man.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
