Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 126 calls for service in and around Aroostook County this past week. Here are the incidents featured in their weekly report:

Incident Type: OAS/ WARRANT ARREST Date: 12/03/2018 Town: MAPLETON Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli came up on a couple vehicles parked in a church parking lot and one vehicle was partially in the roadway. Tr Pescitelli pulled up behind them to activate his lights for their safety and approached the vehicles. The male operator stated that he had gotten stuck and that the female came to help him. Tr Pescitelli spoke to the female who confirmed the story. Tr Pescitelli was familiar with the male and suspected that he had warrants. The male admitted that he had 3 outstanding arrest warrants and also was under suspension. Tr Pescitelli ran the license of the female and found that she was also under suspension. Tr Pescitelli summonsed the female and waited for a licensed driver to arrive then transported the male to PIPD to clear the warrants.

Incident Type: VCR/ Date: 12/03/2018 Town: PATTEN Trooper: TR. ADAMS Brief Synopsis: Tr Adams was dispatched to Patten for a report of an assault. A male reported that another male had walked up to him in a store and hit him in the face. The male had been charged with burglary and assault against the other male several weeks prior to this incident and was on bail for those violations. Tr Adams located the male in Sherman and arrested him for a Class C violation of conditions of release and transported him to ACJ.

Incident Type: DRE ACTIVITY Date: 12/04/2018 Town: HOULTON Trooper: TR. DESROSIER Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier responded to Houlton PD to assist with an OUI drug case as a DRE. The examination resulted in the person being charged with OUI drugs.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/06/2018 Town: HODGDON Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell was parked and ran the license plate of a vehicle that pulled into a convenience store. The female registered owner was under suspension. Tr Bell ran a photo of the owner and saw that the female that went into the store was the owner. When the female got back into the car and left, Tr Bell stopped her and summonsed the female for OAS.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/06/2018 Town: LINNEUS Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell observed a silver car run through a stop sign. Tr Bell ran the registration plate and found that the registered owner was under suspension. Tr Bell stopped the car and confirmed that the registered owner was the operator, under suspension for failing to pay fines. Tr Bell summonsed the operator for OAS.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/06/2018 Town: HODGDON Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell observed a vehicle operating on the road and he ran the registration plate, which showed the vehicle registration had expired in 2007. The vehicle pulled into a driveway because of mechanical problems and Tr Bell pulled in behind it. Tr Bell ran the male operator and found that he was under suspension. The male had driven the truck because his boss wanted him to drive it over to this yard to be used only as a plow pickup.

Incident Type: SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT Date: 12/07/2018 Town: CHAPMAN Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque investigated a suspicious incident in Chapman. A woman called the State Police reporting a loud explosion but added she could not see any flames. Tr. Levesque checked the area and determined someone shot a package of Tannerite and left the area.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/07/2018 Town: LITTLETON Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: While conducting traffic enforcement in Littleton, Tr. Kilcollins stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the course of the stop he discovered the female driver had a suspended driver’s license due to failing to make required payments of fines and costs as well as not having proper liability insurance. The woman was issued a criminal summons for the violation and arranged to have a licensed driver come get her and her vehicle.

Incident Type: OUI / OAS Date: 12/08/2018 Town: CASTLE HILL Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: While conducting traffic enforcement on State Route 163, Castle Hill, Tr. Kilcollins stopped a man for speeding. During the stop, Tr. Kilcollins suspected the man was impaired and conducted Field Sobriety Testing. The man failed the tests and was arrested for OUI. The man also had three active arrest warrants and had a suspended driver’s license. The man was taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 12/08/2018 Town: MONTICELLO Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: While conducting traffic enforcement in Monticello, Tr. Kilcollins stopped a man for driving 62 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. The man told Tr. Kilcollins he was at the end of a long trip and was tired so he was hurrying home. Tr. Kilcollins issued the man a criminal summons for his speed.

Incident Type: OAS / DRUGS / FALSE NAME Date: 12/08/2018 Town: HOULTON Trooper: TR. DUFF Brief Synopsis: Tr. Duff stopped a vehicle in Houlton for a traffic infraction. During the stop, he began to suspect the driver was in possession of illegal drugs. As his investigation progressed, Tr. Duff requested a drug sniffing dog and Border Patrol responded and had their dog conduct a sniff of the vehicle. The dog gave a positive alert and further investigation resulted in Tr. Duff locating two substances, one suspected to be methamphetamines and one to be heroin. The man provided Tr. Duff a false name when asked but Tr. Duff was able to determine the man’s true identity. His female passenger was also in possession of drugs and was issued a criminal summons. The man was transported to the Aroostook County Jail for possession of methamphetamines, possession of heroin, Operating After Suspension, and Providing a False Name and Date-of-birth.
