Christopher was found by a motorist lying in Route 15 in Corinth just before midnight Friday. Police say he was walking home from a friend's house.

He remains hospitalized but conscious.

A tearful Ouellette said Tuesday she realizes someone may have hit her son and not known it. She also thanked the driver who found her son, called 911, and tended to him until help arrived.

Police have not yet talked to the boy, so they're not quite sure what happened. They suspect it was a hit-and-run.
