Maine Gas Prices Up Sharply This Week

You probably noticed the gas prices around your town have gone up, way up. If you did, you would be correct. According to the price monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine now average $2.18 per gallon, up from $2.13 per gallon last week.

Nationally, gas prices went up by almost 4 cents per gallon and are now at $2.16 per gallon.

The lowest reported gas price found in Maine was $2.02 per gallon in Monmouth.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the country at $1.86 per gallon. Nine states still have an average gas price of under $2 per gallon.
