Maine Brewers Forging Bond with Iceland

A shipping company from Iceland is teaming up with Maine brewers to bring Maine's craft brews to a global population.

The Maine Brewers Guild and Iceland shipping company Eimskip announced their partnership Thursday morning at the International Marine Terminal in Portland.

The Brewers Guild says brewers are looking for new ways to export their beer and attract beer tourism from around the world, according to the Associated Press

Craft beer is one of the fastest growing industries in the Pine Tree State. It's reported that craft beers had an economic impact, statewide,  of more than $225 million last year.
