LOLO's whole life is a stage: from playing Ilse on Spring Awakening to writing songs and performing on tour with Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy to composing off-Broadway musical Songbird, the Tennessee born-and-bred singer-songwriter already has a wealth of experiences to draw upon in her own music.

It shows, too: blunt honesty and biting observations color much of LOLO's powerfully sung, soulful solo work — all culminating in her forthcoming studio album, which also happens to boast this year's best album title: In Loving Memory of When I Gave a S**t, due out on Friday (September 9). (If you follow along with our Best Songs We Heard This Week, you'll remember "The Courtyard" as one of our favorite picks of last month.)

Ahead of the record's release, the "Not Gonna Let You Walk Away" powerhouse performer personally selected some of her favorite tunes for soundtracking tour life, pre-show staples and some nostalgic faves from her childhood.

Check out LOLO’s specially selected playlist below, and for more guest playlists, and be sure to subscribe to us on Apple Music.

And to catch LOLO on tour, check out where she's heading next out on the road.

1. Robyn, "Show Me Love"
Been dancing around to this tune since I was in the single digits and it's never lost its cool.

2. Sinéad O'Connor, "Nothing Compares 2 U"
Penned by my king, Prince, and sung by a princess. This is one of my all-time favorite songs and she sounds so beautiful singing it.

3. Katy Perry, "This Is How We Do"
This is one of my pre-show songs and puts me in the right mindset before shows, focused and ready for screaming and fun.

4. Aretha Franklin, "Respect"
She is the Queen of everything and I love her with my whole heart. This song makes me do a really embarrassing finger-wagging dance thing haha, but IDGAF.

5. Lily Allen, "Knock 'Em Out"
When I lived in London in 2009 this song was all over the radio then and solidified my deep love for Lily. She is not afraid to speak her mind and this song shows it the best and also I listen to it when I really miss the UK cause the British slang in the song makes me feel less far away.

6. No Doubt, "Don't Speak"
I used to sing this song a little girl in the mirror, I never really understood the "head in my hands" line then, then I grew up and understood it and loved this song even more. Permanent jam.

7. One Direction, "Stockholm Syndrome"
This was my wake up tour song from last fall. I'd listen to it every morning and it'd make me feel so happy :)

8. TLC, "Creep"
CrazySexyCool was the first CD I bought with my own money when I was 9. This song is a life long favorite.

9. Mariah Carey, "Dreamlover"
When I used to road trip with my family I'd blast my Mariah CDs in my walkman and sing along at the top of my lungs, I thought my brothers were gonna murder me over it! This was my favorite to shout at them in the car, still is.

10. Britney Spears, "Sometimes"
I wanted to be Britney in that white crop top, and I loved the background vocals in the song. Glorious. A lifelong fave.

11. Spice Girls, "Never Give Up On The Good Times"
My inner Sporty Spice still comes out every time I listen to this tune, makes me feel like I'm 10 again.

12. Justin Bieber, "Love Yourself"
Obviously, this song is amazing. And even if I'm not currently going thru a break-up, I love to listen to this song in memory of the ones that have happened. It just beautifully sums it all up.
