“We are fundraising ahead of time, because the expenses add up and we want our awareness events to continue to be free to the public,” says Leslie Gervais, an educator at Hope & Justice Project. “We are so thankful for the businesses and groups who support us every year and make it all possible.”

September events will include live music in Bicentennial Park in Madawaska and side-walk chalk activities with local students in Fort Kent. In October, Hope & Justice Project will host awareness walks in Houlton and Presque Isle and a lip sync contest in Caribou. For more details, visit The Hope & Justice website and Facebook page.

Sponsorship checks can be made out and sent to: Hope and Justice Project, PO Box 148, Presque Isle, ME 04769. For: DVAM.
