Francisco Liriano and three relievers shut down the Boston Red Sox offense for one night as the Toronto Blue Jays take game two of the series 3-0.

Heck, even Mookie Betts struck out! That had not happened since last September. Betts had gone 129 plate appearances since striking out.

Sox starter Rick Porcello pitched well, going seven innings, seven hits, one walk and five strikeouts. The three runs the Blue Jays scored in the 2nd inning were unearned runs. Errors by Pablo Sandoval and Mitch Moreland killed Porcello.

The Sox offense managed just six hits. No one had more than one.

So game three of the series today is an afternoon game with Chris Sale pitching for the Sox.
