It's Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29), and Linkin Park have chosen today to unveil their latest charitable collaboration. The band teamed up with fashion designer and artist Blaine Halvorson of MadeWorn to create a trio of clothing items that are now available with a portion of the proceeds going to a good cause.

Linkin Park have established themselves as one of rock's most charitable bands, and the proceeds from sales of the new shirts and hoodies will benefit Music for Relief's natural disaster relief and environmental conservation projects.

Band members Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda joined Halverson at the MadeWorn studio where they spray-painted, stenciled and drew a design that combined both of their aesthetics. The centerpiece of the design is the iconic street soldier artwork that the band used on their Hybrid Theory album, with the design evolving from there.

"The Hybrid Theory street soldier was a team effort between me, Joe and Frank Maddocks," says Shinoda. "We were working on images for the cover of our first album, and we made it to represent the duality of the band’s sound—the intersection of contrasting elements, and the hard-versus-soft tension in our band’s music. It’s an image that’s synonymous with the band’s name at this point, and one that has become a cornerstone of our group’s visual language over the years."

“MadeWorn is about the process, about craft,” explains Halvorson of the project. "This collaboration with Linkin Park was the perfect way to express that. It’s about putting that kind of intense attention to detail into every piece, integrating artistry and the touch of the human hand.”

You can check out the black and white t-shirts, along with the white hoodie at this location, where you can also purchase the items which are available for a limited time. And to see more about the project, check out the video in the player above.
