Limestone Police say the man was arrested on Thursday, February 4 on unrelated charges and was taken to the Aroostook County Jail. Police executed a search warrant the next day at the man's home on the Access Highway in Limestone following reports of a marijuana growing operation and sales from the residence.

The Limestone Police Department said officers found a growing operation in one of the rooms. The search yielded a total of 81 marijuana plants, over two pounds of processed marijuana, along with indoor growing lights, scales, and assorted equipment used for the manufacturing and distribution of marijuana, police say.

The man has been charged with cultivating marijuana in addition to the previous charges.
