Lauryn Hill stopped by PBS' Charlie Rose to perform an updated version of her single "Rebel / I Find It Hard to Say." The original version, which was inspired by the 1999 police shooting of Amadou Diallo, appeared on Hill's 2002 live album MTV Unplugged 2.0.

"Old tune, new Version, same context, even more relevant now: sick and tired of being sick and tired,' Hill wrote in an Oct. 16 tweet about the new version of the song.

The singer's appearance on Charlie Rose served as promotion of her latest tour, which began last month. Hill's MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Tour is heading across the Pacific this week for some concerts in Japan. Hill's tour will return to the United States in November. Check out all of the remaining dates below.
