Koffman, Coutts Sign NLI To Stanford, URI

Many friends and family members were on hand at the Orono High School library Wednesday afternoon has Jake Koffman and Jackson Coutts signed national letters of intent to play Division I sports at Stanford and the University of Rhode Island.

Koffman is the reigning state high school champion in the discus (189' 9). He will take his talents to Stanford University in the fall of 2017.

He is now getting ready for the upcoming basketball season at Orono.

Coutts is the reigning PVC baseball Player of the Year and is headed to the Rhode Island to play ball. He just finished quarterbacking the Red Riots into the LTC semi-finals and set a new league record for passing yardage.

He too is getting ready for the Red Riots basketball season.
