Some Maine Track & Field stars are in Eugene, Oregon this weekend to try to make it on the United States Olympic roster for the 2016 Rio Games.

Carsyn Koch, Washburn, will be running in the 800 meter qualifier on Friday night.  Koch will run tonight at 7:45 p.m. eastern time.  If she qualifies in the top half during her run tonight she will be eligible for the next round tomorrow afternoon.  The final of the event will be on Monday.

Kate Hall, Casco, will be participating in the long jump qualifiers immediately after the women's 800 meter 1st round race and will by vying to reach the competition final on Saturday.

Ben True, North Yarmouth, is third in the nation at the 10,000 meter coming into the weekend and will compete at both that event and the 5,000.  The 10,000 meter final for True will happen tonight at 9:15 p.m. and the final for the 5,000 will take place on Monday at 8 p.m.

Riley Masters, Bangor, will also be racing against True in the 5,000 meter event on Monday evening.
