Mary J. Blige shocked the world when she announced that her and Kendu Isaacs were splitting up after 12 years of marriage. While the R&B vet issued a statement about their separation, we haven’t heard from Isaacs until now.

On Sunday (Aug. 21), the music executive went on Instagram and posted two images that fans believe are veiled statements about his divorce from MJB. In one image it partially reads, "Father, thank You for equipping me for success and victory in this life. You have ordained for me. I trust that with You, all things are possible in Jesus' name. Amen."

We don't know what to make of the photo other than maybe he's seeking spiritual help from a higher power to get him through his separation. In any case, when a fan commented, "What did you do to Mary J?" he responded, "Married her. Loved her. Helped her. And try to grow with her."

Then Isaacs posted another spiritual image, which reads, "The greatest Jihad is to battle your own soul, to fight the evil within yourself." Is this a cry for help?

As for why the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is divorcing her longtime hubby and manager, she said, in a statement, "sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would."

"But, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything," she added. “Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year along with her world tour."

Hopefully, their divorce won't become a messy legal battle. From the outside looking in, it appears that both Blige and Issacs are seeking spiritual guidance to get them through such a difficult time. We wish them well.
