On Thursday night (Nov. 17), Kanye West took the stage at his Saint Pablo show in San Jose and told the crowd he would've voted for Donald Trump had he hit the polls. His statements were met with boos, only emboldening Yeezy to talk about how he liked Trump's style during the debates and believed in many of the same things that Ben Carson believed in.

Those statements don't jibe with something former Spin editor Camille Dedato apparently pointed out on Twitter Friday: in 2015, Kanye donated almost $3,000 to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, and the year before that he donated $15,000 to the Democratic National Committee.

XXL looked up that information via the Federal Election Committee and confirmed that Kanye did indeed donate $2,700 to the Hillary For America campaign in July 2015, and gave $15,000 to the DNC in Oct. 2014. You can see the proof below.

It's also interesting to realize that Ye's "Big Brother" Jay Z threw an entire concert for Hillary days before the 2016 election. G.O.O.D. Music President Pusha T even hit the campaign trail with Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine and took part in a meet-and-greet offer for people who signed up to vote via Hillary's website. One has to wonder how they're feeling about Kanye's Trump support.
