JUST LOOKING AROUND: You Can’t See Me, I’m A Tree

Ada Jewell of Houlton photographed this little one who seems to be trying to camouflauge and explore at the same time. 

Raccoons will forage just about anywhere and den just about anywhere, so a fallen log is a fairly common choice of abode or area to search for food.

In this case, the log, the dried branches and the ring-tailed critter seem the same color in the bright sunlight. But the distinctive face gives the raccoon away.
