Iggy Azalea is expanding her reach in the television business. The rapper has signed a first-look overall deal with Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Australian MC will reportedly be working with both studios on making "millennial-focused programming." Iggy Azalea is said to be focusing on shows that address social justice and empowering women.

"Creating television that is reflective of my generation has always been an aspiration of mine," Azalea said. "I am incredibly excited to start working on my ideas and am humbled that Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios have given me this once-in-a-life time opportunity."

This new deal will create a new behind-the-scenes role for Iggy Azalea. The rapper is currently in front of the camera for her role as a judge on The X Factor Australia. Azalea signed on to replace Dannii Minogue earlier this summer. Now, Azalea gets a chance to show if her creative talents in music can translate to television.

"Iggy is a strong, passionate voice for her generation and has incredible creative instincts in all aspects of media," said Dawn Olmstead, exec VP development at UCP and Wilshire Studios. "We already have projects in both the scripted and non-scripted areas. We are very excited to have her join forces with us."

Iggy Azalea's new television venture hopefully comes with a good paycheck. The rapper needs it after recently getting a $269,980 tax lien for her 2015 earnings. Earlier this year, she was hit with a $391,000 tax lien for monies owed from 2014.
