Icona Pop found the "Brightside" of 2016.

Last year, the Swedish duo made their colorful animated film debut (Trolls), launched a fierce cosmetics collection (Make Up For Ever's Artist Rouge), performed at the legendary Nobel Peace Prize Concert and released a major collaboration with Louis The Child ("Weekend"), all while touring the world and hitting the studio to work on their next album.

Towards the end of their iconic year, we sat down with Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo to celebrate their accomplishments, chat about the surprising U.S. election results, talk about what it was like meeting (and working with!) one of their childhood idols, Justin Timberlake, and discuss the importance of female friendship, political activism and brushing off expectations to repeat their radio success.

Oh, and they dished on new music, too, 'cause it's coming! Listen above.
