The Husson women's basketball team set school history Friday night. A first ever NCAA basketball tournament win, beating DeSales University 74-74 at the Tufts University regional.

Husson moved from NAIA to NCAA in 2004.

The Eagles now play Tufts Saturday at 5pm for the right to move into the Division III Sweet 16.

Senior guard Chandler Guerrette led Husson with 28 points. She moved into third place on the Husson all-time scoring list with 1,326 points.

Four other players scored in double digits - Kenzie Worcester, Darla Morales, Sami Ireland and Maegan True.

The Eagles are now 23-4.

Tufts beat St. Joseph's College from Standish 67-46 to advance to tonight's second round game.

The Husson men fell to Babson in their first round NCAA playoff game, 92-76. The Eagles finish the season at 21-7.

Husson trailed by just one at the half to #3 nationally ranked Babson but got outscored48-33 in the second half.

Senior Joey Flannery scored 28 points and fellow senior Isaiah Nelsen had 24 to lead the Beavers. Babson is now 26-2.

For Husson, Raheem Anderson and Mitch Worcester each had 17.
