After holding the opposition to minus yards rushing for a second straight week, the Husson Eagles have climbed to the top of the national statistics in total defense.

The Eagles held Anna Maria to 37 total yards in Saturday's 42-0 win. That includes -12 rushing yards.

Through six games (win over Dean College does not count in NCAA stats), Husson is #1 in Division III allowing just 145.5 YPG.

Opponents are averaging 24.2 YPG on the ground and 121.3 YPG in the air.

NOTES: On offense, RB John Smith has climbed to #2 in the nation in rushing. He now is averaging 158.5 YPG.
