A Friday night sweep for the Hampden Broncos over the Brewer Witches. The girls team had to hold on for a 40-34 win. The Bronco boys won the nightcap 65-54.

First Game: The Hampden girls maintained a double digit lead for three quarters and the Witches came roaring back in the fourth to get within three points but could never get closer.

The Broncos had balanced scoring with Brooklynn Scott and Braylee Wildman leading with nine points each. Hampden's biggest issue was turning the ball over 17 times.

The Witches hit on eight 3-pointers, three of them during the fourth quarter comeback. Cassidy Smith led Brewer with 12.

Hampden improves to 6-2 and is riding a six game winning streak.

Brewer falls to 2-7 and going through a five game losing streak.

Second Game: The Hampden boys team jumped out to an early advantage against the Brewer squad and never looked back for the eleven point victory on Friday evening.

The Broncos held a 10 point lead after the first quarter and extended that to 13 at the half on efficient shooting.  The Witches started to creep back in the contest in the third and got the game to within six points at one point.  Coach Russ Bartlett made some in between period adjustments to get forward Ian McIntyre more involved into the action offensively and it paid dividends as he scored 15 in the final eight minutes.

McIntyre finished with a game high 25 points overall and went a perfect 8-8 shooting from the field.  He also was perfect from the free throw line in the fourth, hitting all seven shots.  Brewer was led by Cameron Wood who had 13 points.

The Broncos remained undefeated on the season and are now 8-0, while Brewer lost for the fifth straight time and has a record of 3-6 on the year.
