Head On Collision in St. John Plantation Friday Morning [PHOTO]

State police responded to a two car crash on Route 161 in St. John Plantation Friday morning.

Police said, 19-year-old Makayla Martin of St Francis was traveling east when 24-year-old Brian Holland pulled out in front of her from a parking lot. Martin tried to avoid Holland, but stuck his pickup head on.

Both Martin and Holland were wearing their seat belts and airbags were deployed in both vehicles.

Martin suffered injuries requiring medical attention and was transported by ambulance to Fort Kent Regional hospital.

Police said Holland was not injured, but did go on his own to the hospital to be checked out. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
