Guilty Verdict in Aroostook County Meth Case
After a day and a half of testimony in Aroostook County Superior Court, a Biddeford man was found guilty Tuesday of making methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
The case dates back to November 2011, when Aroostook County Sheriff's deputies caught 34-year-old Michael O. Fox assaulting his wife on Route 1 in Bridgewater. Officers also found items in the vehicle for making meth. Both the man and his wife were arrested.
The following day, Maine Drug Enforcement agents searched a shed in Mapleton and discovered more drug-related materials that Fox had left there.
Fox was convicted of a Class A offense and faces at least 4 years in prison on the drug trafficking charges. He remains in the Aroostook County Jail awaiting sentencing.
