Guerrette Selected For NEWBA All Star Game

Husson Eagles senior guard Chandler Guerrette has been selected to play in the New England Women's Basketball Association All Star Game next Saturday in Massachusetts.

Guerrette is just the third player in program history to be selected for this game.

23 top Division III players from all over New England will participate in the game. Eagles coach Kissy Walker will coach one of the teams. She is the NEWBA Coach of the Year Award winner.

Guerrette (Presque Isle HS) led her (23-5)Husson team to the North Atlantic Conference title and the school's first ever NCAA playoff win.

She won NAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and finished her career at Husson with 1,333 points.

Guerrette has seen a steady stream of postseason accolades come her way - MWBCA All-State First Team, ECAC All-New England First Team and D3Hoops All-Northeast Region Third Team.

The all star game next Saturday, March 25th, takes place at Mount Holyoke College.
